WegWandern.ch is a Swiss web portal designed for hiking enthusiasts interested in exploring Switzerland's most beautiful hiking spots. Users can access detailed information about various hiking locations and use the map on the Tourenportal page to pinpoint their exact whereabouts, with the WegWandern team providing guidance to individuals looking to discover hiking destinations across the country.

The website was built on WordPress and designed to be fully responsive, seamlessly adapting to any device and screen size. The map section is integrated using the third-party OpenLayers library, and two custom modules were developed and integrated to extend the site’s functionality.

• B2B Module – after registering on the B2B portal, users can enhance their listings with external links by purchasing clicks on the website.
• Summit Book Module – after registering on the Summit Book portal, users can log in and share articles about their hiking experiences and upcoming hikes, and invite hiking partners.

WegWandern was nominated for the Best of Swiss Web Awards 2024.
