PostFinance Odoo POS Connector

PostFinance AG is one of Switzerland's leading financial institutions. With PostFinance Checkout it offers a payment platform for online and in-store sales. PostFinance wanted an official connection between its payment terminals and the tills of merchants who run their shops on Odoo.

On behalf of PostFinance, PIT Solutions built the PostFinance Odoo POS Connector: a plugin for Odoo Point of Sale that links the till to PostFinance terminals through Cloud Till Integration (CTI) and the PostFinance Checkout Python SDK. One click sends the amount from the Odoo till to the terminal, the customer pays by card, and the payment status returns to the till automatically. No retyping of amounts, no typos.

Security was central from the start: card data never touches Odoo. Cards are processed only in the terminal and by PostFinance Checkout. The plugin was developed and tested on a PAX A77 terminal, in close coordination with PostFinance's POS integrations team.

The connector runs on Odoo 19 Community and Enterprise, on Odoo.sh and on-premise. It is available on the Odoo App Store and on WebShopExtension.com, where installation service and support packages are offered too. PIT Solutions maintains the plugin on behalf of PostFinance. For the Odoo webshop, PIT Solutions also offers the PostFinance Checkout Flex plugin, so merchants can run their shop and their online store through one provider.
