GlobalPR

GlobalPR represents Taiwanese and other Asian technology brands in markets across North America, Europe, South East Asia and the CIS, working closely with advertising agencies, media agencies and hundreds of manufacturers throughout Asia. As a TYPO3 Silver Association member, PIT Solutions built a TYPO3 CMS website that lets GlobalPR present its services to a worldwide audience.

The site's templates were implemented following current TYPO3 templating guidelines. Press items are managed through the TYPO3 News system extension, extended with a custom TYPO3 extension that controls which press items are displayed based on the visitor's country, grouped via system categories. The same IP-based logic was applied to general content elements, allowing sections of the site to be shown or hidden for specific groups of countries. Country detection is handled through the MaxMind GeoIP web service.
